EZ Back-to-School Supplies

EZSchoolSupplies.com

Publication1

They had me at "we make life easy."

And they really sold me when they told me they make life easier for MOMS!

For the past 5 years, EZSchoolSupplies.com has been delivering paper, pens and everything in between to households all across the United States.

Bill Kemper, of EZ School Supplies, tells me that, "Mothers love us because they can order online the exact school supplies requested by the school or the teachers for each specific grade level and have them delivered right to their home.   Mothers no longer have to go on the dreaded scavenger-hunt to four different stores to search for their school supplies. "

That's right, your child's teacher can actually post her supply list online.  You visit, click, pay, and then sit back, save on gasoline, and wait for the supplies to arrive. And schools that sign up with them earn a 10% donation on every order their students place.  What an easy fundraising project!

If your school doesn't post their lists on EZSchoolSupplies.com, you can still find what your child needs to start the year off right (or replenish their supplies anytime throughout the year) by selecting from the over 26,000 brand name items.

Check them out with the coupon link below and get 10% off your order. Just enter the code EZMB049.

And as an added bonus, EZ School Supplies is providing me with a sample pack to Giveaway to one lucky Virtually Organized reader.  Just enter a comment below by Monday August 11th at 12 midnight EST and you could get some free school supplies just in time for the new school year! Good luck, and happy shopping!

Organize Your Memorabilia (And Win a Cool Prize, Too!)

So, I did it!  I FINALLY finished my stain glass window project!

                              Dscf6730

Well, sort of. It hasn't dried completely (hence the lovely "blotchyness" effect) and I ran out of paint this evening AFTER the store had already closed. But 99% done is better than where I was when this challenge started on May 13! Tomorrow I will get the last 3 bottles of paint and finish this project for good!

I knew once I started working on it again I would get re-obsessed and work non-stop to get it done.  It was just finding that motivation to START again! Having the June 1 accountability deadline did the trick! And scheduling chunks of work time into my planner REALLY helped me "find" the time.

I think that's how most organizing projects get away from us.  We WANT to get that closet organized.  We spend lots of time THINKING about how we would like to work on it; how wonderful it would be to open a neat and tidy closet EVERY morning; how much TIME we could SAVE getting dressed and ready; how proud and LESS STRESSED we would feel with an organized closet.

But then reality kicks in . . . We open the closet door, see an overwhelming, disorganized jumble of clothes and slowly . . . shut . . . the . . . door . . . and . . . back away.

And so, the cycle continues.

Let's face it, it IS easier to just complain and wish for a magical fairy to instantly transform your closet.  (I have yet to see that magic wand at MY house! How about you?) But if you take ALL that wasted energy spent thinking and dreaming about your closet and just dive in and start, at least it wont be WASTED energy!  SOME progress is better than NO progress. And, so what if it takes you a month of working a little at a time? Again, it's better than spending your month just WISHING the disorganization away!

So, every month I am going to post a procrastination challenge.  And Suze's comment to my last procrastination update gave me a great idea about giving each of these challenges a theme.  So, in honor of Suze's determination to get her home movies edited and transferred to DVDs, June's Procrastination Challenge will focus on Memorabilia Projects! No pressure, Suze, but now you REALLY have to come through with your project!!! :)

Feel free to work on ANY type of project you'd like, but if you have a project involving home movies, photos, trophies, collectibles, or other forms of memorabilia, tackle it this June with the Virtually Organized readers as YOUR accountability partners.

Post a comment, a link to your related blog post, and/or pictures. Need encouragement?  Just ask! We'll all keep each other motivated, updated, and accountable throughout the month. And on July 1, I'll award a special prize to one successful procrastination project!

Like Suze, I'm going to work on converting my home movies, too.  Moody Judy is now 11, and Blue Eyed Jane just turned 8, so we have a TON of footage to transfer.  I may not get them ALL completed, but hey, ANY progress is STILL progress, right?!?!?! Good luck everyone!
